Welcome to the first issue of Lenzing's Nonwoven eNews!
Sustainable in every Respect
Sustainability is a balance between environment, society and economy without negative influence on the needs of future generations.
The Lenzing Group has been living these principles of sustainability for many years.
In the first issue of this Newsletter you will learn more about living sustainability and the natural benefits of Lenzing nonwoven fibers.
In Harmony with Nature
Lenzing Viscose® and TENCEL® fulfill the principle of sustainability since they come from nature and return to nature.
Wood utilized for fiber production is derived exclusively from forests that are managed in line with certified forestry regulations.
Many years of experience and continuous improvement of environmental performance enable Lenzing to set global benchmarks in the production of high quality fibers.
In use, Lenzing fibers bring the benefits of natural absorbency based on their cellulosic origin.
After use, products made from Lenzing Fibers will fully biodegrade and complete nature’s cycle.

Lenzing recently issued a new brochure which offers further details about the natural benefits of Lenzing nonwoven fibers.

Social Responsibility
Business Unit Nonwoven Fibers is pleased to support the work of insieme by commissioning accessories made from local beechwood.
insieme's philosophy is to co-operate with Austrian workshops where disabled craftsmen use their skills to create high quality products.
Beech wood is not only the base material for the accessories made by insieme but also for the fibers produced by Lenzing.

Economic Success
Rapidly rising living standards and the expanding health and hygiene infrastructure in the emerging markets lead to a significant rise in the consumption of nonwoven products.
In order to meet the increasing demand Lenzing sets the course for future global growth by expanding the fiber production capacities in Europe and Asia. In addition a further site in India is at the planning stage.
